Description

The Role:

Strategy formulation: Facilitates collaborative process, ensuring well-articulated and prioritised roadmap and set of medium and long-term goals

  • Drafts strategy papers and presentations for key internal and external stakeholders
  • Keeps informed of market developments and potential disruptions and revises strategy as appropriate
  • Contributes to strategy formulation and ensures variations across the regions are embedded into planning
  • Manages key global stakeholders; ensures relationships are established and they buy-in, contribute and support delivery of the International business plan

Planning and Execution: Focuses on plans to implement the strategy

  • Works closely with Region, Business, and Function Heads across International to understand the internal culture and capabilities of each region to develop/execute local strategies and plans; in alignment to the International strategy and plan
  • Coordinates interconnected initiatives / workstreams ensuring that they are working to common objectives and dependencies are managed
  • Lead, design, implement and manage specific projects
  • Implement and manage effective governance and be a source of guidance for the International regions

Governance & Reporting: Develop a framework to track objectives and performance

  • Accountable for creating reports for International leadership team (and other stakeholders) and facilitate communicating progress to relevant audiences
  • Use of data and analytics tools for reporting and comms purposes
  • Work with Head of International to ensure there is appropriate governance and structure in place to drive connectivity and share best practice

Communications: Plays a key role in the development and execution of the International comms strategy

  • Collaborates with the Regional Heads of International to develop a communications strategy that will deliver effective communications and ensure the International strategy is consistently understood and articulated both internally and externally
  • Produces strategy content for key stakeholders
  • Presentation of the strategy to internal / external stakeholders as required

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • A proven ability to work cross-functionally to develop joint strategies and to manage significant delivery initiative
  • High levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy and change management
  • Experience gained in similar role within the insurance industry preferred
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong facilitation skills – able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity and gain agreement
  • Strong skills in problem solving, planning and execution
  • Project management experience and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to act as an ambassador for the Company
